  • Chief's August Tropical Storm/Flood Update

The department was busy today as you can imagine. The heavy rains and winds caused several road closures, floods, utility lines to come down, trees to come down, and people getting trapped. The volunteers worked with local and county officials to minimize the damage and impacts to the community. The Township Emergency Management, Road Crew, Fire and EMS worked together well to provide life saving services to the residents and visitors of Chestnuthill Township.

So far today we responded to 36 incidents. This includes 10 - 911 calls and 26 incidents called in by field units and the public.
